Medical malpractice, personal injury, and appellate attorney Marsha Weiss is a member of the New York State Bar Association and the Ulster County Bar Association. She is admitted to practice in all New York State courts as well as the United States Northern and Southern District Courts and Second Circuit Court of Appeals.
Marsha grew up in Poughkeepsie, NY and graduated from Poughkeepsie High School in 1971. Marsha attended Clark University in Worcester, Massachusetts and graduated Phi Beta Kappa and with honors in 1975. She earned her law degree from Albany Law School in 1978.
Marsha began her legal career as an associate with Cutler and Klein, a Poughkeepsie law firm. In 1982, Marsha joined the Ulster County District Attorney’s office as the Director of Appeals, a position she held for 4 years. Thereafter, Marsha continued to serve as a trial assistant for the District Attorney’s office until 2000, when she became an Assistant Public Defender, responsible for representing indigent defendants in many Ulster County courts, including the City of Kingston.
Marsha was a partner in the litigation firm of Kerr & Weiss, practicing in the Hudson Valley for ten years before her affiliation with Feldman, Kleidman & Coffey LLP (today known as Feldman, Kleidman, Coffey, Sappe & Regenbaum LLP) in 2004. Currently, Marsha also serves as a Town Justice in the Town of Ulster.
