Paul S. Kleidman

Paul Kleidman, 50, a longtime resident of LaGrange, New York, formerly of Queens, New York died July 28, 2006 surrounded by his family and friends after a six-and-a-half year battle against pancreatic cancer. Paul’s courage and grace has been an inspiration to all who knew him. Paul was born on April 21, 1956 and was the son of Barbara Kleidman and Leonard Kleidman (deceased).

Paul is survived by Karen, his wife of 25 years; his three extraordinary daughters, Jamie, Lindsey, and Kelsey; his brothers Larry (Yogi), and Carl, his sister-in-law Lorna, his brother-in-law Barry and sister-in-law Lesley; his niece, Jessie and nephew, Daniel; his mother-in-law, Shirley; as well as many loving cousins and friends.

He was a 1977 Cum Laude graduate of the University of Pennsylvania – The Wharton School with a B.A. in Economics. Paul matriculated to New York Law School where he received a J.D Cum Laude in 1980. He was also the Notes and Comments Editor for the New York Law School Law Review.

Paul had been an Attorney since 1981. He was admitted to practice before all of the Courts in the State of NY, including the Federal Courts and the US Supreme Court. In 1986 Paul became a founding partner in Feldman & Kleidman (today known as Feldman, Kleidman, Collins & Sappe LLP). Paul specialized in the representation of physicians and healthcare professionals in medical legal matters.

Paul was the 2nd Vice Chair of The Kingston Hospital Board of Trustees as well as the 2nd Vice Chair of the Kingston Regional Health Care System Board of Trustees. He was a member of American Bar Association, New York State Bar Association, Dutchess County Bar Association, New York State Trial Lawyers Association, The Association of Trial Lawyers of America and The Defense Research Institute, Inc. He served on the Dutchess County Bar Association Judicial Screening Panel.
