Ellen Fischer successfully dismissed medical malpractice claim against local interventional cardiologist
Ellen Fischer recently moved for dismissal of a medical malpractice claim against a local interventional cardiologist. The plaintiff had alleged that the doctor injured the plaintiff during a cardiac catheterization. This office’s motion set forth expert opinion as to why the claim was without merit. Though the plaintiff submitted an expert affidavit in opposition to the motion, the defense successfully argued that the plaintiff’s expert’s opinion was insufficient, and the case was dismissed.
